Translation - English Malaria is an infectious disease transmitted by mosquitos to human beings, caused by eukaryotic protozoa from the Plasmodium genus. The disease is the result of the multiplication of Malarian parasites in red blood cells, and this generally causes symptoms such as fever, headaches, and in severe cases, a state of coma and death.
Four types of Plasmodium exist that can be transmitted to humans. They cause severe illnesses due mainly to the fact that P. falciparum Malaria is caused by Plasmodium vivax, and they cause benign illnesses (that are rarely fatal) through Plasmodium ovale and Plasmodium. A 100% native American English speaker, I learned Spanish and French the hard way in high school and college, graduating with honors in Spanish and Business Language Certificates in both languages. Prior to becoming a translator, I worked in retail management for the video rental chain Movie Gallery for about five and a half years, and at a local law firm as a document reviewer and in house translator for another five years. I also worked as a legal and accounting intern while in college.
It was while working as a document reviewer that I learned about the great need for accurate translations in the United States. I saw firsthand the poor results of leaving translation work to untrained bilingual staff. That’s why as a freelancer, I continuously strive to provide 100% accurate translations.
Over the years, I have settled into the specializations of legal, business, medical, and certified translations after regularly completing translations in those fields for various translation agencies.
