Cross bracing is often analyzed by the structural engineer as having tension only members. Chevron bracing is used in a building that requires access through the bracing line. Source text - Italian Il percorso formativo è focalizzato sulla formazione dei BIM Manager di e professionisti nell'ambito di progetti integrati. Partendo da quanto definito dal Parlamento europeo in materia di appalti (European Union Public Procurement Directive, EUPPD) e l'impiego del BIM nelle attività di progettazione nel settore delle costruzioni per le opere pubbliche realizzate con fondi della Unione Europea a partire dal 2016, si fa un escursus sulla normativa, il trattamento dei dati, le responsabilità e si prosegue con una formazione di base sull’impiego di alcune applicazioni. Alcune basi teoriche e le applicazioni pratiche consentiranno agli studenti di gestire i files e i progetti redatti in ambito di progettazione integrata. Verranno illustrati alcuni software di largo impiego e la funzionalità nonché gli ambiti di applicazione. La formazione di base, consentirà di avere una chiara idea di quelle che possono essere le prospettive di miglioramento nella gestione degli appalti, la validazione del progetto e il controllo delle interferenze, nonché l’avanzamento lavori. Particolare importanza viene data ai project work e homework su casi studio. Il percorso formativo è focalizzato sulle tematiche legate agli strumenti per la progettazione integrata BIM. La progettazione architettonica, impiantistica, energetica, strutturale, la gestione dei cantieri e la gestione degli edifici vengono supportati da strumenti software fra loro compatibili, in logica BIM. Con i software BIM, si possono gestire altresì le pratiche legate agli aspetti ambientali dell'attività di costruzione di edifici e infrastrutture, verso una scelta consapevole di tecnologie e soluzioni sia nei nuovi edifici e infrastrutture, che nel recupero del patrimonio edilizio e infrastrutturale esistente. Translation - English This Master course offers an advanced training of BIM managers and integrated project professionals. Starting from the European Parliament’s approach to procurements (European Union Public Procurement Directive, EUPPD) and BIM implementation in construction design for public works, accomplished through European funds since 2016, the course provides an in-depth understanding of the regulations, data processing, key roles, to continue with some practical applications. Both the theoretical and practical knowledge, will enable the students to manage integrated projects, with the help of the most used software. The basic training has a strong focus on the possibilities for improvement during procurement management, project validation, interference checking and work progress. Particular attention will be given to the case studies and homework. The education path is pivoted towards the instruments used for BIM integrated projects. The architectural design, MEP, energy and structural design as well as construction management are assisted by compatible, BIM thought software. Indeed, the latter are used to manage not only the environmental aspects of structural works and infrastructure, but also to find the best technical solutions for new constructions or renovation. Some professional perspectives include working at construction companies, construction technology manufacturers, engineering and architectural design companies, public administration.
