Bio
Freelance translator from English, Spanish, Portuguese and Catalan to French since February 2019.
As a French girl coming from a French family only, I have always been fascinated by foreign languages. I used to spend a lot of time studying English and Spanish in high school. I left France at 17 and started studying translation in Barcelona. There, I also learnt Catalan and Portuguese, and I finally felt like I was doing what I was meant to be doing. After those 4 years, I spent a few months travelling in the United States, then came back and did a Master's degree in Translation in France. I travelled a few more months in Trinidad and Tobago and Puerto Rico.
I love travelling, reading, cooking and listening to music. I am open to any subject and very curious, which is also true in my professional life: anything is interesting to me and I will make time to get better in any subject. For now, I don't really have an area of expertise apart from the organic certification field and management (I worked as a translation intern in Ecocert, a company that grants organic certifications). I have translated abstracts, a fashion book and resumé, a play, and a children's book as part of my master's degree. I am very disciplined, serious, hardworking and was taught to turn down a job if I am not capable of doing it, rather than failing people who count on me.
I feel grateful that I can work as a translator and do what I love every day.
