Bio

I completed a bachelor's degree in Pashto literature from
Kabul University with a focus on linguistics and learned English at American
University of Afghanistan. I have been
working as an editor and journalist with multiple media outlets for a decade
besides working as a freelance translator with various agencies.

On the previous posts I have been always receiving excellent
feedback from my employers, all of them prominent national media outlets and translation agencies, which
proves my strong commitment to perform my responsibilities in professional and
effective manner.  As a professional and experienced translator and text editor, I’ve
translated at least two bestselling self-help books from English into Pashto, one
of them [You Can Win], has been the bestseller among the Pashto books in
the market over the past seven years, besides hundreds of thousands of words I
have translated in multiple directions between English, Pashto and Dari during
my jobs and as a freelance translator. I have also been part of the teams which translated the following books: Directorate S, The Rising of
Afghanistan
, In addition, I conducted a three-month translator training
funded by USAID for female job seekers in Kabul where I, along with a
team of professional translators, developed a professional syllabus consists Translation Theory, Terminology Management, Translation Business and
Computer-Assisted Translation Tools. Given my passion and years of experience
in the relevant field and the ability to effectively use all the tools
necessary for professional translation including dictionaries, corpus,
thesauruses and CAT tools, especially SDL Trados Studio, to ensure accuracy,
fluency, fidelity, consistency and to make sure the translation is idiomatic
enough to convey not only the message from the SL to TL but also the feeling, I
believe I can easily fulfill all the requirements for a professional translator.
