I am a native Spanish translator with over 8 years of translation experience.
I hold a BA in Legal Translation and a Master's Degree in Translation (with an specialization in Legal & Financial translation) from University of Geneva's School of Translation and Interpretation (FTI), after being awarded a scholarship by the Swiss Government.
I also hold a BSc in Business and in addition to my freelance activity as translator, I worked for over 10 years in the banking industry (Lloyds TSB Bank plc), in various departments and holding different positions. I also worked as Lloyds TSB's in-house translator thus combining translation tasks with my other duties and responsibilities.
I am a Sworn Translator accredited by the Supreme Court of Justice of Uruguay and I am also a member of the Uruguayan Translators Association (CTPU).
I currently work for international organizations such as WIPO, IADB, WB and UPU, foreign translation agencies (mainly based in the U.S.) and local companies, government agencies and private individuals.
My fields of expertise are legal, business and financial translations, although I work in many other fields such as marketing, IT, and web content, medical, educational material, social sciences, subtitling, among others.
