Intermittent arts translations for publications of the Société Baudelaire 1 user Editing for publication a book on a French XXth century artist, for which I translated passages in French. 1 user (edited) I am translating material for several books writtten by the Société Baudelaire's President, to be published serially from today onwards. Translating literary sources of a high standard is demanding, since one is dealing with something living, rather like kneading dough for breadmaking, when one feels the dough rising as one handles it. It calls on all the resources of one's mother tongue, unlike technical translation, for which the word choice is comparatively limited.
