What a fun night we had once again at the Cumberland Bar, our regular haunt where even the bar staff recognise us and have started to reserve a table every 4th Wednesday without me having to book! My only regret is that I didn't bring my camera.
Last night saw quite a new faces:
- Anja came up from Durham especially, a six-hour round trip. Hope you enjoyed yourself and got home safely. If you do organise a powwow down there let us know well in advance - you never know, we may even manage to organise a Stammtisch outing to join in. For me, it would have to be at the weekend, though . Maybe we'll see you again some time and then, perhaps, someone would be willing to put you up for the night. Or better still, move up to Edinburgh - this is the place to be ;)
- Luíz who only discovered ProZ.com on Tuesday and was pointed in our direction by Renate, convenor of the ITI Scottish network. Thanks Renate for continuously promoting the Edinburgh Stammtisch, which enticed
- Ines to come along with hubby Stuart who seemed to have a good chat with some of the "other halves" dragged out of the house by their enthusiastic translator partners. It seemed to me they all managed to enjoy themselves despite all our shop talk.
Great to see Cynthia again, for whom coming also involved a 90-minute round trip, not to be sniffed at on a cold and misty spring night. Thanks for introducing Ling to the Stammtisch and to ProZ.com. Hope to see you again some time when you're back from all your travels.
All in, there were 12 of us, even though three of the "hard core" attendees could not make it this time. See you all in April!
