Ramadan Karim, Ziad. "Benefit dependency" happens when unemployed people have no other income but that provided them by the Department of Social Security. Such money is called "benefits" since the citizens are "benefiting" from the government handouts. It is also called in England "worklessness", so you could translate it as (البطالة). In its worst scenario, people get used to these benefits like to drugs and no lonegr look for work/can't look for work. In that case it can be seen as (إدمان)

اعتقدانه يجب توضيح ان المعونه (ماليه)بالدرجه الاولى لان مثل هذه النوع من المعونات غير موجود في بلداننا العربيه .و كلمة (معاش)معروفة فى الدول العربيه على اساس انها تطلق على المعونة المقدمة لمن هم تقاعدوا من العمل الحكومى أو للاراملفى بعض الحالات الخاصه .لكن المصطلح هنا فى بريطانيا أعم و أشمل لان الدولة تعطى المعونات لجميع الاعمار و هناك أنواع متعددة من المعونات متعدده الاسباب.
