Discussion

Jennifer Strachan (asker) Sep 23, 2006:
Not much context provided - this is an item in a list of amendments to a mining company's by-laws... It begins with the mine's name, and then launches into a list of pertenencias, with all of its "derechos, gravámenes y limitaciones, que son: xxx[mine name and number]: Manifestacion de xxx and xxx surface hectares, con solicitud de mensura de solamente xxx pertenencias." Then it goes on to the next mine with the same text (different numbers).
Henry Hinds Sep 23, 2006:
Some CONTEXT would sure help...

occurrence or exposure

I would need the whole sentence in order to give you a higher confidence level here.

This is what my friend Ms. Marina Orellana (Glosario Internacional para el Traductor) has to say:

manifestación: (min.) occurrence (mineral)

manifestación mineralógica: (min.) exposure

manifestaciones: (min.) (mineralized) showings or exposures

manifestaciones de petróleo: showings of oil
Something went wrong...
4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Yes, occurence (or showings) would fit the context, and a manifestación minera would be a Statement of Discovery... Muchas gracias, María Eugenia!"
