I think this is basically about the unregistered, or private nature of the transfer, of a bearer share.

: I think transfer of title would involves either registration or amendment or annotation of the instrument. "tradition du titre" refers to physical transfer.

You are probably correct, Jon ! Physical transfer is probably intended here. See my second note and Dr Jones' suggestion.
