: anche se in marina non si usa più dire al timoniere... "vieni a tribordo", ma "viene a dritta". È corretto quanto hai detto sotto. Ciao

View of the port side of the Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser Lake ChamplainPort is the nautical term (used on boats and ships) that refers to the left side of a ship, as perceived by a person on board the ship and facing towards the bow (the front of the vessel). The terms are also used for aircraft, spacecraft, and analogous vessels. The equivalent for the right-hand side is starboard.
An archaic version of the term is larboard

Babordo
La parte sinistra della nave (guardando verso prua), opposto di tribordo; il termine è entrato in italiano attraverso il francese bâbord, ma deriva dall'olandese bakboord, "dietro il bordo", perché il timoniere anticamente volgeva le spalle al lato sinistro della nave. Il termine non è di uso comune nel gergo della marineria italiana e si preferisce "sinistra"
Tribordo
Lato destro della nave, guardando verso prua. Non è in uso nella marineria italiana perché si preferisce il termine "dritta".

Come ben detto da Wikipedia i termini babordo e tribordo non sono usati nella marineria italiana. Ho fatto 15 anni in Marina Militare e non l'ho MAI sentito. Quindi è bene NON usarlo.
