I might be wrong, but it makes me think of somebody being ripped out OF something, as in "he ripped her out of her world".

Altre alternative, più "neutre", visto che dal contesto che dai non si comprende se siano insulti, scatti d'ira, di rabbia, sconforto, ecc.
Un'espressione più colloquiale, come "rip out": "rivoltare come un calzino" o "fare verde".
