Spanish term

técnica de nebulosa

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Other Waste treatment plant
From the specifications of a series of tests to be run at a new waste incineration plant:

"Si procede, mediante un caudalímetro que controle el agua consumida por el **sistema de corrección del polvo** (con técnica de nebulosa)"

I'm pretty sure that this technique refers to the "sistema de corrección del polvo" rather than to the flowmeter, but I could be wrong. As I said in last question, this system is to remove dust from the air by, I think, spraying or dampening the air. Nebula technique??? Cloud/Mist/Spray technique??

Any help greatly appreciated. Spanish from Spain. UK English if possible. Thanks!

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks again to you both! I wish I could split the points: 'technology' is far better in this context than 'technique', as Michael pointed out, but I prefer the 'dry fog' translation of 'nebulosa' provided by James. Much appreciated!"

mist technology

"técnica" can also be technology, and in this case it is the mist technology that is used so that the dust particles do not disperse in the air.
