high school report - Venezuela
I'm translating a high school report from Venezuela. There is a column headed "T-E", within which is a column of "F"s (following each subject and subject grade. Following this column is a column for the month and year of the exam. Any ideas what this column refers to?
I had thought it referred to the "trimestre de exámen" / F = febrero, as some universities use, but the month following is 07, or July. Therefore it can't be that. I suspect it is a letter signifying a pass rather than a fail as the grades are good, but cannot find a definition anywhere.

Hi Kevin,
It seems logical to me that "T-E" = "Trimestre de Exámen". And I think the "F" stands for "Final". So that would be "ET" = "Exam Trimester" and the "F" = "Final". Given the month following is July, it would seem the exams took place in the month of June in the Final Trimester, which is when final exams take place in general.
Hope this helps :)

However, I'm not sure. I should have been clearer: the month and year columns are the ONLY month and year given; e.g. 07 / 2002 so I think that's fairly obvious that that was when the exam took place. And high school exams tend always to be at the end of the term; you don't have 2 exam calls as you might get at Uni, so I'm not sure about your "Final" theory.
I'm hoping that somebody who went to school in Venezuela will be able to enlighten me. I've even written to the Venezuelan Dept of Education (no answer so far).
