I doubt that there are going to go into a kind of "recherche" that could be of the R&D kind for just one client - it's more likely to be "finding which one of the already known investigative procedures is the most suitable"
so this would mean that they are insured in case they get sued for malpractice because they used the wrong investigative procedures.
