En suerte con

Spanish to English Social Sciences Education / Pedagogy Annual Academic Prize
The literal translation could be "in luck with" but is this really the correct translation and what would be its meaning?

It has the following context:

"D. XX, natural de Manila, provincia de Manila, en suerte con D. XY y D. XZ y en competencia con D. XA."

The first person, XX, was awarded the academic prize for a particular subject in a university in Manila in 1883.

What does "en suerte con" mean? Kindly explain its meaning.

Thank you.

Nominaciones - Awards This is a good example of how 'en suerte con' is used for nominations. However, I am not sure if they are winners or if they were just randomly selected in a group.

Pure guesswork here, so no thorough explanation, but it might work:

"Mr XX, a native of Manila, province of Manila, along with Mr XY and Mr XZ and in competition with Mr XA".

With joint winners

Another possibility, hard to say without more context
Example sentence:

Micahel Caine Actor at the Bafta best beginners awards with joint winners Christian Holland and Alex.
