"...zur Aufnahme Bilder im Inneren eines blutdurchflossenen Gefäßes". Not quite sure what is meant by "blutdurchflossenen" - is the blood still present or has it literally "flowed through"? (i.e. drained?)

is the elegant way to describe an artery or veine through which blood flows. And no, your context does not seem to have anything to do with "drained blood"
