Well Dina, thanks for getting me to realize I forget the "l" in Arablish. It seems that this is to denote Arabic-English, if I am not mistaken.

I would prefer to kep it translletrated into the same Engilsh language pronounciation.

The sound of عربلش give a close meaning to the phrase:
عرب ليش
that is: Arab why, or why Arab?

To write it back into English as ARABLISH, would more user friendly
asl well.

FYI, a much-earlier term that is different from that proposed term of "Arablish" is a term widely used in the Arabic Gulf region of"Arabish."

That term reportedly originated in the oil industry in Saudi Arabia in the era of ARAMCO (later Saudi ARAMCO) during the late 1940s-early 1950s.

i would prefer using عربلش, this because عرب comes from the arabic word عربي, and not the english word" Arabic", while "LISH" , comes from the english word "English".

The above could be a generic translation that fits all contexts as the term 'Arablish' has got different definitions:
1. English funny transltaions for Arabic expressions {EX: السلطة المطلقة ‎= Divorced salad} >> Arablish عربي إنجليزي فكاهي
2. Writing Arabic using the Latin alphabet esp. in chatrooms and email {EX: إنشاء الله inshaa2allaah = God willing, hopefully} >> كتابة العربية بالأحرف اللاتينية
3. A mixture of Arabic and English >> عربي إنجليزي
