Hosting services for business visitors
Hi
This phrase is part of a range of welcome services / facilities made available for visiting businessmen or exhibitors at trade fairs in Paris. There are various services such as free shuttles to and from the airport, concierge services at the exhibition or conference centres, and "un service de grooms sur les sites". I am guessing that this relates to things like suit hire etc., but I would appreciate a good rendering in English.
Thanks!
Mark

porter service / valet service
Well, I originally imagined it was some kind of valet service (i.e. to do with grooming); however, most of the FR sites I found (i.e. not ones translated from another language) seemed to refer to 'someone to carry your shopping from your car...' — which I suppose does really tie in better with the original idea of a groom: someone who would take care of your horse when you arrived.
So really and truly, it looks as though 'porter' is closest; I did wonder about 'footman', but I'm a little sceptical about that used in any kind of contemporary context...

So although we talk of 'valet parking' (this is included in the bell-boy job description from some sources), in an hotel we would indeed talk of a bell-boy (or bellhop); however, I'm not quite sure how well this works in a purely conference situation (i.e. if there is no actual accommodation involved). So I stand by the possibility of 'porter', which can probably safely be applied even in the most general of situations (and notice that hotels have porters too!) I have a sneaking suspicion that bell-boy / bellhop is possibly more US (I have always heard it in US films, and many of the Google results I found did indeed come from US hotels or chains), while 'porter' is possibly more UK...

(laundry/) valet service
I'd go with Tony's original thoughts here, and your own for that matter and say it's about getting shoes polished, suits cleaned and minor tailoring etc. Coming from the old meaning of a valet being a personal attendant to take care of a gent's attire and appearance.
It is often associated with "laundry" in hotel descriptions to distinguish it from valet parking I'd say.

"... We are pleased to offer Dry Cleaning, Laundry, and Valet/Pressing Services 7 days a week. Minor tailoring is also provided through our Valet department."

"grooming service" is more associated with dogs now and "grooming" has also taken on an association with paedophiles so "valet" is best here

I came to this conclusion I think because of the "concierge service" mentioned as valet service (suit/shirt pressing etc) is often linked to that...but it's hard to know for sure

: I'm not so sure, G! I don't think it's THAT sort of valet (seems unlikely for a conference venue!), and note that 'groom' in FR has much more to do with looking after your horses...

Yes, Tony hard to know. But this is what sprang to my mind first (before reading any comments). Thought it could be a loan word from English of "grooming" that got muddled a bit in meaning...As for conference; well, what's a porter got to do there?

Reference:
sounds a lot like the standard meaning, bellboy (service)
you could add a marketing-appropriate adjective (such as 'special or exclusive or personal' etc. etc.) bellboy service", if that seems better or necessary.

Discussion
I found many instances of 'luggage porter', and 'night porter' too (though that's a quite different job).
