German term
TCI
German to English
Medical
Medical: Cardiology
Hypertension
In German medical report, patient has mild pulmonary hypertension and mild mitral valve defect after reconstructive surgery.
In "Befund" section:
"Leichtgradige Trikuspidinsuffizienz, leichte pulmonale Hypertonie (TCl 30 mm Hg).
I cannot figure out what "TCl" stands for and/or what it would be in English. I am not sure from the print if the last letter is an "I" or a small "L". It also could be the Roman numeral "I".
Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!
Stephen

German term (edited):
TCI or TCl
Target Controlled Infusion
I think it would make sense here. Is there more context?
Note from asker:
Barbara, Thanks for the suggestion. I should have mentioned that the procedure being performed was a transthoracic echocardiography. Does that help confirm your suggestion? Thanks |

: what would the 30 mmHg mean then?

TI gradient
I think the source text might have confused the abbreviation. TI (tricuspid insufficiency) would make more sense here. The 30 mmHg would then refer to the blood pressure.
Here is a reference text to look at. I hope it helps.

TCI is also an acronym for tricuspid insufficiency.
In any case, the units mmHg are for a pressure measurement.
