En algunos ríos del oeste de nuestra provincia, concretamente en el Guadiana y en el Bullaque, el flujo del agua se hace muy lento, sobre todo al llegar el verano, formándose grandes ***remansos de agua***, localmente conocidos como el nombre ***tablas*** (Tabla de la Yedra, Tabla de los Laureles,...).

Regarding your question about how to translate "tabla de río", please see the last reference I posted, which describes these "tablas de río" as "grandes remansos de agua". A "remanso" is a pool in a river, so I suggest "river pools".

Assuming it is "tabla de río", does anyone know what this part of a river is called?
