Trados Studio text looks pale Thread poster: Ahmed Maher

Hi,
The text within Trados Studio and other single softwares on my PC looks pale not like the text in browser for example.
I think that I have missed a software that shall be installed to improve text appearence, as I have experience a problem while opening some files with color text and I can not see Multiterm work with Studio as well.
What do you think the software that I shall install?
Regards,

You essentially ask how long a piece of string is. It's impossible to give you a precise answer without at least some information about your software and hardware setup. What OS, what settings, what monitor etc.

I think, you need no additional software. Try changing the settings in Tools → Options → Editor → Font Adaptation and Tools → Options → Colors. | | | Ahmed Maher Local time: 06:35 English to Arabic + ... TOPIC STARTER

In your OS go to Start - Control Panel - chose System and check in Hardware manage, if every hardware is properly installed.
If yes, I do not have any answer. But from what you describe the graphics card driver may be the key here. | | | Ahmed Maher Local time: 06:35 English to Arabic + ... TOPIC STARTER Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit | Jun 3, 2011 |
Thanks Farkas and Esperantisto for your replies.
I have tried Font Adaptation but the problem is still exist.
I use Windows 7 Home Premium and I think that there is a problem with installing windows installer 64-bit that is essential for visual c++ installation.
Multiterm can't open termbases and I receive error message while opening some files with graphic in Studio.

Thanks Jerzy for your reply.
Don't you think it would be related to visual c++ installation or other software that is essential for trados and multiterm.
By the way, it seems that Font Adaptation trick has solved part of the problem as I can see the source segments with graphics added and I can translate it.

I have several Win 7 computers and all the clear type and so on features are used with no problems at all.
However, any missing driver may be really crucial.
C++ is also a possibility, but I would start checking the drivers first. | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Trados Studio text looks pale Protemos translation business management system | Create your account in minutes, and start working! 3-month trial for agencies, and free for freelancers!
