I was translating two files in a package and suddenly starting getting "object reference not found" and "key something not found" errors, and can't do anything anymore. I was about two finish the files and return them, now everything is lost and can't be restarted?
Can somebody help, I am due with a deadline, it's urgent? Studio 2022

Try "killing" Studio using the Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete) and re-open it.
Then you can re-translate using the TM.
And yes, Trados Studio 2022 is a piece of crap.

that didn't change anything. I didn't try it, it was the only way out to move anywhere on my computer. When I was back, things were absolutely the same.

Run the installation file and repair the installation. Sometimes that fixes things.

Tried both repair, and reinstallation. Not only did it not help, it's even worse now.

Remove the project from the projects list, and open the original package again in a new folder.
Then, add to the project the TM you used for translating.

everything is stuck, I can't move anything from anywhere. When I follow your first step, I immediately get "object reference not found... etc"

What is stuck, the whole computer, whole Studio, only this project?
Try to give precise details, because it is not clear what is exactly the problem.

Whole Studio, all files in it (this project and previous ones). Two errors reappear: Object reference, and key not found...
I think it's clear from my title what is stuck.

MemoQ (hope you have a second CAT tool) and restart the project, but I'm afraid you're off for a long night. I've seen wacky behaviour of Studio but never the one you describe.
Just thinking of it ... if you have Trados 2022 maybe you'eve kept v 2021 or a previous one you can use.

Rather try CafeTran Espresso | Aug 21, 2023 |

I hope that you still have the almost finished sdlxliff file(s) from the project on your hard disk.
Copy the sdlxliff file(s) to a new folder.
Install CafeTran Espresso (https://www.cafetran.com/download-for-windows-pc). You don't need a license for now (I've tested this with an sdlxliff file of 300 MB).
Start CafeTran Espresso. Click the New button and navigate to the folder with the sdlxliff file(s):
Open the sdlxliff file(s). Translate the few segments that you hadn't finished yet.
Click the Finalize button:
Quit CafeTran Espresso.
Zip the sdlxliff file(s) and deliver them.
Lingua 5B Bosnia and Herzegovina Local time: 04:50 Member (2009) English to Croatian + ... TOPIC STARTER OK, can’t choose though | Aug 21, 2023 |
I got a Trados package/project, therefore can’t choose a tool in this case. Of course I have other tools.
Anyway, I fixed the issue this way:
I opened a new user account with a new name on my PC (quite a process with new Windows), and went/signed in into the new account, started Trados from there, it works like charm.
Solved! | |

For the next time:
Both suggested alternatives can open packages.
CafeTran has the advantage that it can directly edit sdlxliff.

My client also asked me to look for sdxliffs on my hard drive, but I could not trace them (looks like bugs had just eaten them). All solved in the end thankfullyl

You could decide to link the folder that contains sdlxliff files to your Dropbox, as this offers versioning. Don’t link any termbases or TMs — only the sdlxliff.
