My friend Cinzia and I, both Italian translators working in the UAE, met each other last year thanks to Proz.com. So we decided to organize together a proz POWWOW to get in touch with other linguists and professionals working in this area.

We will be discussing translation trends, new technologies, marketing strategies, rates, job opportunities and other professional issues but, most importantly, we'll also be sharing stories, personal experience, travels and our passion for languages and translation. Of course it will also be a great networking opportunity!

Like all Proz Powwows it will be an informal networking event with NO cover charge (FREE). Since the event is taking place in a public cafe/restaurant each participant is expected to buy at least a drink and pay for his/her bill.

The meeting will take place on 16th March at 2.30pm in Dubai at the DIFC branch of Shakespeare and co., which is located near the DIFC Ritz Carlton Hotel, in between Financial Center and Emirates Tower Metro Station. Below you will find the details and a link to a Google map.
