I’m a native Finnish translator specialized in mechanical engineering and automotive field, yet able and willing to tackle various other fields of expertise, too.

I have an MA in Translation Studies from the University of Turku, Finland, and over 20 years of experience in translation industry. I’ve been working as a full-time freelance translator since January 2007.

Thanks to a life-long interest and studies in foreign languages, I can deal with a number of source languages (English, German, French, Italian, Russian, Swedish). I prefer my mother tongue as the target language.

I’m ever fascinated by the diversity of ways in which different languages look at things. As a translator, I feel my job is to convey the source language message in a natural, plausible way - unless otherwise specified.
