Source text - Bulgarian Аз съм решителен противник на цитатите. Струва ми се, че в гората от ерзаци се губи неповторимостта на авторовата мисъл, а понякога се прикрива липсата на такава. Затова реших да лиша редовете по-долу от буквални заемки или препратки към нечии трудове. Разбира се, тук става дума за съчинение, събиращо и класифициращо голяма част от човешкия опит в невербална комуникация. Така, че няма да добавям нищо ново. Просто ще изяснявам същността на нещата и ще разкривам техните общи допирни точки. А що се отнася до някои мои спорадични предположения, хрумвания или разработки, то те ще бъдат изрично посочвани. Освен това считам, че не е абсолютно необходимо да указвам точно кой е открил пръв и приложил на практика този или онзи принцип. На първо място, защото след време обикновено разкриваме „по-стар” автор. А на второ – тъй като желаещият да прецизира своите познания може да се обърне към първоизточниците, поместени в библиографската справка. Толкова за „Общата теория”.
Translation - English I firmly oppose quotations. It seems to me that the forest of citations can obscure the author’s original thought or even mask its absence. Therefore I have decided to deprive the passages to follow of word-by-word excerpts or references to someone else’s work. Of course, this is a creation which compiles and classifies a large part of human experience in nonverbal communication. This means that I will be adding nothing new. I will just clarify some essences and reveal the points where they intersect. Whenever I am sharing sporadic suppositions, insights and proposals, I will specifically indicate so. In addition, I do not find it absolutely necessary to specify exactly who invented or put to use this or that principle. Firstly, after some time we can usually discover an “older” author. And secondly, the reader who wishes to make his knowledge more specific can turn to the original sources listed in the bibliography. This much about “General Theory.”
