I am a professional literary translator, a qualified linguist, and a hardcore multiplatform gamer to boot. Although translating/localising video games is my passion and main occupation, my translation interests include comic books, literature (especially fantasy, horror and science-fiction genres), board and card games and films (with an emphasis on animated productions) as well.
Education. I graduated from English Philology (English Studies) at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland, having specialized in Linguistics. Moreover, I finished literary translation postgraduate studies at the UNESCO Chair for Translation Studies and Intercultural Communication.
Work experience. I have been localizing video games since 2003, cooperating with video game distributors in Poland, especially CD Projekt (creator & publisher of The Witcher) and abroad. In addition to regular ingame texts I translate promotional materials, marketing releases, manuals, cover descriptions, etc.
Apart from video games I translate comic books (which I also letter in Illustrator and Photoshop), novels as well as board and card games.
