Bio

I am a bilingual French American professional. I was raised in a multilingual and multicultural environment, which led me to gravitate towards the study of languages - Spanish and modern Greek - as well as cultures. During my studies, I participated in poetry translation groups and translated science-fiction short stories.

With a post-graduate degree in anthropology (focusing on sociolinguistics and folklore), and a Master's degree in Spanish language and literature, I then moved on to the corporate world, working as a trilingual PA & event organizer in human resources and marketing departments for international companies such as Altadis or l'Oréal. Translation being a consistent part of my job description, I gradually started freelancing, to become a full-time freelance translator in 2010.

Areas of expertise and interests

My specific areas of expertise include documentary film (wildlife, history, society), marketing (luxury, food services, travel), social sciences and children's literature. However, my broad range of interests and research skills have enabled me to work on various types of projects, such as: cuisine/cookery, architecture, art and video games.

Some of my end-clients include TV & film production companies (One Planet, Arte, Planète), video game publishers (Ubisoft, Exequo...), research institutions (C.N.R.S., M.N.H.N.) and marketing consultancy agencies.

Services provided

In addition to translation and subtitling, I provide proofreading and content writing services.
