અભ્યાસ દવા એ છે જેની તપાસ હજુ પણ સંશોધન અભ્યાસોમાં કરાઇ રહી છે અને તેને એમએચઆરએ (મેડીસીન્સ એન્ડ હેલ્થકેર પ્રોડક્ટ્સ રેગ્યુલેટરી એજન્સી - દવાઓ અને આરોગ્ય સંભાળ ઉત્પાદો માટેની નિયમનકારી સંસ્થા) કે દુનિયાની અન્ય સરકારી આરોગ્ય સત્તાઓ દ્વારા મંજૂરી મળી નથી.
અગાઉ પૂરા થયેલા અભ્યાસમાં, 169 દરદીઓને રીલેક્સિન અપાઇ હતી અને એએચએફ ધરાવતા 61 દરદીઓને પ્લેસિબો અપાઇ હતી. પ્લેસિબો એક પ્રવાહી છે જે બિલકુલ રીલેક્સિન જેવું બરાબર દેખાય છે, પરંતુ તેમાં બિલકુલ રીલેક્સિન સમાયેલું હોતું નથી. તે અભ્યાસમાં, રીલેક્સિનની 4 જુદી જુદી માત્રાઓ તપાસી હતી. એ અભ્યાસ નાનો હતો અને વધારાની તપાસની જરૂર તે અભ્યાસમાંથી શોધોને મંજૂર કરવા પડે છે. તમને સહભાગી થવાનું કહેવામાં આવતા અભ્યાસનો હેતુ એ જોવાનો છે કે શું અગાઉના અભ્યાસમાં રીલેક્સિનની માત્રાનો ઉપયોગથી સૌથી લાભદાયી જોવાયેલા પરિણામો મંજૂર કરી શકાય છે.
રીલેક્સિન એવો પદાર્થ છે જે તમારું શરીર કુદરતી રીતે ઉત્પન્ન કરે છે. રીલેક્સિન સ્ત્રી સગર્ભા હોય ત્યારે બનતા સંખ્યાબંધ જીવવિજ્ઞાન સંબંધી મહત્વના ફેરફારોનું કારણ બને છે, જેમાં સમગ્ર સગર્ભાવસ્થા દરમિયાન રહેતી હ્રદય અને કિડનીની કામગીરીમાં સુધારાનો સમાવેશ થાય છે. સ્ત્રીઓમાં પુરૂષોના શરીર કરતા રીલેક્સિનનું વધારે ઊંચું સ્તર હોવા છતાં, પુરૂષો પણ કુદરતી રીતે રીલેક્સિન ઉત્પન્ન કરે છે. આ અભ્યાસમાં ઉપયોગમાં લેવાનારું રીલેક્સિન તદ્દન તમારું શરીર કુદરતી રીતે ઉત્પન્ન કરતા રીલેક્સિન જેવું જ હોય છે.
Translation - English 9. Which is the medicine to be examined?
The study medicine is still getting investigate in the research study and has not been approved by MHRA ( medicine and healthcare products regulatory agency- regulatory organisation for medicine and healthcare products) or any government health authorities.
In previous studies, 169 patients were given Relaxin and 61 patients with AHF were given placebo. Placebo is a liquid, which looks exactly like Relaxin, but it does not contain
any Relaxin. In that study, four different dosages of Relaxin were examined. That study was limited and the need of further investigation is to approve the results of that examination. The objective of present study which asked you to participate is to see whether the most advantageous results accomplished with the use of quantity of Relaxin in the previous study can be approved.
Relaxin is the substance your body produces naturally. Relaxin is responsible for many important biological changes in pregnant woman, which includes improvement in the activities of heart and kidney during pregnancy. Though the level of Relaxin in the body is higher in women than men, men also produce Relaxin naturally. The Relaxin which is used in the study is exactly like natural Relaxin produced in your body.

Medicine can cause unwanted things to happen. These unwanted things are called side effects. Some of the side effects in adults from using this medicine are: tiredness, sleepiness, a happy feeling, headache, dizziness, and strange feelings on the skin such as numbness and tingling. If you have any problems, please tell your parents so that they can notify the study doctor.
The study drug may help, but there may be no benefit for you to be in the study.
THINGS GIRLS NEED TO KNOW:
Some drugs can cause bad things to happen to an unborn baby. If you are able to get pregnant (started having a period), you must not become pregnant while in this study. If you are sexually-active the study doctor will talk to you about using birth control.
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
Sometimes doctors write papers about research studies when they are done. If a paper is written about this research study, your name won’t be used in it. We will keep your medical information private. People who work for the study doctor’s office, research center, the study sponsor, and government agencies will be able to look at your medical information.
There is no cost to you or your parents for being in this study.

દવાને લીધે તમે અનિચ્છનીય બાબતો થઇ શકે છે. આ અનિચ્છનીય બાબતો આડઅસરો કહેવાય છે. આ દવાઓનો ઉપયોગ કરવાની પુખ્ત લોકોમાં થતી કેટલી આડઅસરો છેઃ થાક લાગવો, ઘેન રહેવું, સુખદ અનુભૂતિ, માથું દુઃખવું, ચક્કર આવવાં અને ત્વચા પર અજીબ અનુભૂતિ થવી જેમ કે ખાલી ચઢવી અને
ઝણઝણાટી. જો તમે કોઇ સમસ્યાઓ ધરાવતા હો તો કૃપા કરી તમારા માતા-પિતાને જણવો જેથી તેઓ અધ્યયન ડોકટરને સૂચિત કરી શકે.
અધ્યયન દવા મદદરૂપ બની શકે છે પરંતુ અધ્યયનમાં રહેવાથી તમારા માટે કોઇ ફાયદો ન પણ હોઇ શકે.

કેટલીક દવાઓને લીધે ગર્ભસ્થ શિશુને ખરાબ અસરો થઇ શકે છે. જો તમે ગર્ભવતી બનવા સક્ષમ હો (માસિક શરૂ થઇ ગયું હોય) તો આ અધ્યયનમાં રહેવા દરમિયાન તમારે ગર્ભવતી ન બનવું જોઇએ. જો તમે જાતિય સંબંધોમાં સક્રિય હો તો અધ્યયન ડોકટર ગર્ભનિરોધકના ઉપયોગ વિશે તમારી સાથે વાત કરશે.
