I studied at the French Institute and obtained a DEUG (issued by the Sorbonne in Paris) in 1979.
Since then I have worked for the English subsidiaries of various French companies, including France Telecom and JC Decaux, where I have used my French in a business and legal environment as a translator and proofreader.
I have recently passed the DALF C1 exam and the WLS Diploma in Translation.
I am currently translating articles for the Professor of Archaeology from the Aga Khan University (who is also a member of the Institut Français d'Archéologie Orientale) relating to excavations in East Africa.
I am diligent and often described as being very careful with good attention to detail. I read between the lines.
As Cervantes said: "Translation is the other side of the Tapestry". |
