I am a German, Korean native speaker with a master degree in translation from University of Vienna (Austria) and a Ph.D. from Seoul National University (South Korea). I have experience as a freelance translator for over 20 years, and completed translations for Hilton Hotels, Wrigley, AOL, Oakley, Subaru, Spafinder, Flavorixx, Daewoo, Hyundai, Volkswagen, the Korean agency of Technology and standards, tourism office Seoul, etc. I also have a lot of experience with translation of medical, technical and chemical documents and manuals, business and IT related texts, games (Lineage II, III, Aion, Exteel, Xbox) and animation. I did translations for Samsung Electronics and Samsung Digital Imaging, website translations, history books for elementary schools and my translated books (non-fiction) were published in January 2006, April 2010, 2012 and 2013. I wrote two books for self-study of German and co-wrote high school textbooks. I worked as a proofreader and monitor for a government website of Korea for many years and currently teach German at a university. |
