CURRENT SITUATION (BUSINESS, FINANCIAL & TECHNICAL TRANSLATOR & LANGUAGE TRAINER IN STUTTGART, GERMANY)
I come from Edinburgh, Scotland and currently live in Stuttgart, Germany, where I work as a translator and Business English trainer. My training work takes place at a major German bank and insurance company, in the finance, accounting and IT departments. This perfectly complements my translation specialities, and helps me to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in these areas.
PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE (SALES & MARKETING IN A TELECOMMUNICATIONS SOFTWARE COMPANY)
I previously worked in the sales and marketing department of a medium-sized software company in Stuttgart, which supplied OEMs worldwide with test equipment for telecommunications networks (fixed, mobile and IP). My responsibilities were mainly in:

In my spare time (not much), I enjoy reading fiction, mountainbiking, snowboarding, travelling, cooking, playing flamenco guitar and enjoying an evening of general chit-chat over a glass of wine with friends.
Recently, I was also involved in three fundraising activities, where I cycled around 350 km each across India, Cambodia and Tanzania in support of vulnerable children.
