Translation - English Shaken in her literary self-consciousness and with the feeling of being imprisoned in a self-imposed isolation, Fadwā decided to take a trip to England in the hopes of opening up new horizons . . . Arriving in England, she found accommodations with an English family after spending the first days as a guest in Fārūq’s house. In order to be able to extend her stay in England, Fadwā registered at St. Clare’s College and, after that, at the Swan School in Oxford. She fell in love during her stay in England. However, this love came to an abrupt end, when she received the news of the accidental death of her brother, Nimr; some time later, she returned home.
