I am a native speaker of Romanian and I am living in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
My language pairs are: English > Romanian, Romanian > English, Romanian > Rmanian.I have been a freelance sworn and authorized translator, interpreter, reviser and subtitler since 2005 when I was certified as a certified and sworn translator and interpreter by the Ministry of Justice in Romania.
I graduated Geography and English specialization at the Faculty of Geography, "Babeş-Bolyai" University, Cluj-Napoca, a rather interesting specialization that offered me two specializations really: Geography and English language and literature.
I was a teacher of English for a year, during which I attended a MSc program, "Management of Territory and Human Resources", at the Faculty of Geography. After that I completed my studies with a PhD in Geography (domain: spatial planning legislation).
In 2005, I was selected by the Romanian Translators’ Association (ATR) to take part in the volunteer mentoring program “Deschide-ţi aripile!”. I received training in Trados, Communication and PR, Management of volunteers.
Since then, I continued to take part in the events organized by ATR, as a participant and a volunteer, participating at conferences, trainings, seminars organized by ATR (on Trados, legal translation, authorized translation, terminology, revision, the standard SR EN 15038, translation as an art and a profession etc.)
I have the privilege of being part of the team that takes care of ProZ.com localization into Romanian.
