Now that had the good fortune to land here, let me introduce myself!
I have been working as a professional translator, interpreter and communicator for over 20 years.
I studied for my BA honours degree in Modern Languages (French and Spanish) and International Studies in London, UK, where I lived for 7 years. I also attended a semester in Madrid Autonoma UNiversity and in Grenoble Sciences Pol University. I went on to get a qualification in interpretation and translation at Debrecen University (Hungary), then a Masters in International Relations and a post grad diploma in multimedia editing. As I regularly interpret at Hungary's biggest artfair, the Art Market, it inspired me to follow a course in Contemporary Art Collection.
My range of knowledge is wide, spreading from public administration to justice, marketing, sales, EU topics, economics, business, public health, culture and education, research and development, climate issues, immigration and defence.
Currently I do translations for a news agency (into French and English) and looking for new opportunities, perhaps in subtitling.
I have a special talent for interpretation and able to take and lead groups for workshops, with a speaker whom I interpret all day, if needed. I also accompanied political and business delegation for government and diplomatic corps, never failing them.
I am reliable, fast and witty, never lose my head, even in tricky situations.
Regarding translations, I can work with or without CAT tools, personally prefer to work without (I find it more creative) but can work with as well.
My rates are 15EUR/hour for translations and 35-45EUR/hour for interpretations (plus travel when needed).
