Source text - Spanish Los estudios sobre la entomofauna del olivar son abundantes. Ello se debe a que los insectos y artrópodos en general tienen un gran interés como fauna auxiliar, desempeñando un importante papel en el cultivo en el control de plagas y la incorporación de nutrientes al suelo. Así, Ruiz y Montiel (2000 y 2001) han estudiado la influencia de los bioclimas y la vegetación en la entomofauna de diferentes tipo de olivares. Cárdenas et al., 2006a y 2006b; Castro et al. (1996), Corrales y Campos (2004), Cotes et al. (2009a y 2010), González et al. (2004) y Redolfi et al. (1999 y 2004) y Ruano et al. (2004) se han interesado por la influencia del sistema de cultivo y el manejo del suelo sobre la artropofauna del suelo del olivar. Son abundantes los trabajos que estudian la influencia de diferentes tratamientos fitosanitarios y herbicidas sobre la entomofauna (véase por ejemplo Farfán et al., 2006; Rodríguez et al., 2003; Ruano et al., 2001; Varela y González, 1999). Y también los estudios sobre las relaciones ecológicas predador-presa entre artrópodos del olivar (Cárdenas, 2008; McEwen y Ruiz, 1994; Morris et al., 1999). Finalmente existen una serie de estudios sobre la relación y control de plagas con la entomofauna del olivar (Santos et al., 2007) o con el uso de determinados taxones como bioindicadores de usos y tratamientos agrícolas (Cotes et al., 2009b).
Translation - English The studies on the entomofauna of olive tree groves are abundant. This is because insects and arthropods in general are very interesting as auxiliary fauna, playing an important role for the crop in pest control and in the addition of nutrients to the soil. Thus, Ruiz and Montiel (2000 and 2001) have studied the influence of bioclimate and vegetation in the entomofauna of different types of olive groves. Cardenas et al., 2006a and 2006b; Castro et al. (1996), Corrales and Campos (2004), Cotes et al. (2009a and 2010), Gonzalez et al. (2004) and Redolfi et al. (1999 and 2004) and Ruano et al. (2004) have been interested in the influence of cropping systems and soil management on the artropofauna of olive grove soil. There is abundant work studying the influence of different pesticide and herbicide treatments on entomofauna (see for example Farfan et al., 2006, Rodriguez et al., 2003; Ruano et al., 2001, Varela and González, 1999). And there are also studies on the predator-prey ecological relationships among arthropods in the olive grove (Cárdenas, 2008; McEwen y Ruiz, 1994; Morris et al., 1999). Finally there are a number of studies on the relationship and pest control with the olive grove entomofauna (Santos et al., 2007) or on the use of certain taxa as bioindicators of agricultural uses and treatments (Cotes et al., 2009b).
