Source text - English Game Overview
The Hotel of Madness is a two-player game inspired by classic horror stories of the 1980s.
One player controls a sentient and evil Hotel while the other guides its luckless caretakers.
The game is played on two maps, representing the Hotel and its surroundings, using counters to represent Human units (Manny, Jake and Sandy Torrent and their psychic ally Andrew Hann), Hotel units (statues, phantoms and decoys) and objects.
The values of each unit is printed on its counter. (See the tab below.)
Use a sheet of paper for tracking individual damages.
Goal of the game
The Human player must remove all phantoms, decoys, and statues from play in order to win, while the Hotel player must either kill or possess all members of the Torrent family.
The game is declared a draw when 10 turns have passed or the Human player flees (see the End-game chapter for details.)

Bio
Hey there!
I’m an English to Latin American Spanish freelance translator with over a decade of experience in the video game localization field.
I’m the founder and chief translator of Station to Station, a single-language video game localization provider focused on the Latin American Spanish market, and the cofounder of Corda Correcciones, a team of linguiststhat offers Spanish proofreading services.
Since 2014, I’ve been providing translation, reviewing, proofreading, adaptation and LQA services for both AAA and indie games across PC, consoles and mobile devices. In broad terms, my work includes the localization of in-game texts, subtitles, VO scripts, UI elements, and marketing materials, among other assets. Other localization tasks I handle include the creation and maintenance of tailored styled guides and terminology bases to ensure consistency throughout projects.
I have localization experience in MMORPG, MOBA, and RPG games, among others, and I’m into retrogaming, survival horror and platform games, to name a few. Moreover, I have a penchant for storytelling and a taste for creativity and imagination, so if you’re looking for a reliable, narrative-focused localization partner who genuinely cares about the tone, style and every line of dialogue in your game, I’m confident you’ll find my translation skills very handy.
I’m a diligent, detail-oriented translator who will treat your game with the love and passion it deserves. As a seasoned video game localization specialist, I’ll keep a receptive, communicative approach to comply with your requirements and needs, apply specific regional and cultural nuances while staying true to the original product, and craft a bespoke localized version of your game. The end result will not only reflect an overall coherence and understanding of the game, but will also mimic the feel and vibe of the source material to a tee.
