Translation - English Where does the million dollars that it costs to hold the World ISA tour in Costa
Rica come from?
400,000 is the number of people that we are expecting for this world tour – in
2009, it was 100,000.
Earnings of around $30 million are expected for Jacó’s commerce – 15 times
more than the first world tour.
But where does the million dollars that it will cost to give the starting horn to
this World ISA tour come from?
The ICODER puts up $_____ , the ICT $______, and the producer $______
The organisers speak about the facilities that we have for 2016 compared to
2009, for example the Ruta 27 which will allow the public to get to the world
tour in 1 hour.
The news comes to complete the year in which Costa Rica is at the peak of its
surfing history – we are world champions as a team, and the champion and
runner up of the World ISA are Ticos, so the World tour is coming to put the
icing on the cake of good surfing that has been developing in the past decade by
way of a great organization at a Federation level.
35 countries, 350 chosen surfers, 7 days of competition, the first World tour in
the Olympic era of surfing in Costa Rica, this event counts on the declaration of
Public and Government Interest.
Why Jacó?
This famous district of the county of Garabito with 4 km of beach has all of the
most important needs that we discovered in the World tour in 2009; the chaos of
the road that only had one lane on each side of the road, and the lack of services
for the thousands of visitors, and the lack of infrastructure needed for an event of
this size.
These reasons led to the Chambers of Tourism and Commerce of Jacó being the
best option for this event and the Surf Federation decided to choose this location
for the Olympic level event.
The World ISA tour 2016 will compete for the Blue Ecological Flag in the
category of Special Events, a recognition that is obtained only with the maximum
organization and care in all the requisites.

Experience
Years of experience: 11. Registered at ProZ.com: Apr 2012.
I love languages and have been fascinated by learning and switching between them since I was about 7 years old, when my family went to visit my aunt and uncle in Amsterdam and for the 6 weeks prior to the trip I spent all my time with a Learn to Speak Dutch guidebook and cassette tapes. I am fluent in English and Spanish (which I learned living in Costa Rica), and have been making published translations for about 6 years. I also read French, Italian, and Portuguese.
