English to Persian (Farsi): Creating a Successful Leadership Style
Source text - English Principal Thelen found he also needed to deal with the inherent conflict
between security personnel and the guidance staff. On the surface, the
responsibilities of each are diametrically opposed. Security’s responsibility is to make sure the school runs well for students and staff and to mete
out the prescribed punishment to any student who disrupts the classroom
or the school. Guidance’s responsibility is to advocate for each child and
help integrate each into the fabric of the school. The former saw the latter
as mollycoddlers; the latter saw the former as nothing less than agents of
a police state. Principal Thelen brought both sides together and found they
could agree to the following:
• If the security staff, the deans, and the assistant principal of security saw
that a student referred for disciplinary reasons had underlying issues, this
student would be referred to her counselor for follow-up advisement.
• If the guidance staff saw that a student referred did not really have underlying issues but was basically in need of some discipline, they would
send the student to the dean’s office.
• A student’s guidance counselor would be invited by the deans to participate in meetings with students’ parents and in suspension hearings.
Translation - Persian (Farsi) مدیر مدرسه آقای تلن همچنین متوجه شد که باید مشکلات همیشگی بین اعضای حراست و مشاوران را حل و فصل کند.ظاهرا وظیفه هر گروه کاملا با یکدیگر متفاوت بود.وظیفه حراست این بود که از این مسئله اطمینان حاصل کنند که مدرسه برای دانش اموزان و کارکنان محیط امنی باشد و تنبیه از پیش تعیین شده ای را برای دانش آموزانی که کلاس یا مدرسه را مختل می کنند، در نظر بگیرد.وظیفه مشاوران این است که از دانش آموزان حمایت کنند و به آن ها کمک کنند که خود را با محیط مدرسه وفق بدهند برای اعصای حراست کار مشاوران خنده دار بود و همچنین برای مشاوران اعضای حراست چیزی به جز ماموران پلیس نبودند. مدیر مدرسه اقای تلن هر دو گروه را نزد هم آورد و متوجه شد که هر دو گروه باید بر سر موارد زیر با یکدیگر توافق کنند:
اعضای حراست، مدیران و معاون مدیر در حراست اگر می دیدند دانش اموزی که به خاطر مسایل انضباطی به حراست رجوع داده شده است، مشکلات اساسی دارد این دانش اموز را به مشاور خود ارجاع می دادند تا توصیه های مربوطه را از مشاور خود دریافت کند.
اگر مشاوران متوجه می شدند دانش آموزی که به آن ها مرجوع شده است مشکل اساسی ندارد و در اصل چیزی که نیاز دارد، تنبیه است، آن ها دانش اموز مربوطه را به دفتر مدیر می فرستادند.
مشاوره دانش آموز مربوطه را مدیر دعوت می کرد تا به همراه والدین دانش اموز در جلسات بررسی حکم اخراج موقت دانش اموز شرکت کنند.
با گذشت زمان هر دو گروه متوجه جنبه دیگر نیز شدند.در حقیقت هر دو گروه تلاش می کردند که به تک تک دانش اموزان و مدرسه کمک کنند اما هر گروه از روش هایی استفاده می کردند که متناسب با وظیفه آن گروه بود.
