I am perfectly fluent in French and English is my mother tongue; thus I can very easily and efficiently provide an extremely accurate translation in either of these languages. Furthermore, my various professional experiences, both in academia and in business-related provide me with an intuitive flexibility. My range of translation skills in French and English is at once varied and topical. Over the past seven years, I have done translation work for various translation agencies in the United States and Europe as well as having participated in various literary translation prize competitions.
I am currently a college professor at the Université Joseph Fourier in Grenoble, France. My work includes teaching translation from French to English or vice versa to undergraduate students. Other tasks comprise of teaching medical English to second year students as well as reading comprehension to undergraduate sport students and graduate bio-chemistry students.
As a professor, I can adapt my schedule in order to fulfill my assignments. This means I can spend up to four full days a week working on any translation. This in turn guarantees that I could deliver a swift result on any last-minute, deadline-set projects. Of course, I am also interested in long-term, bigger missions. I am proficient with translating software, including Across and CrossWeb as well as Wordperfect and Trados.
