Studied the Russian language and literature (BA), linguistics, philosophy (M.A.) and sociology (Ph.D.) mainly in the U.K. Experience as an in-house translator for 5 years at a charity organisation, handling mostly texts in the genres of philosophy and arts, as well as speech scripts, project-oriented documents in the areas of healthcare, arts and agriculture.

Freelancing since 2013. Currently working as an industrial translator with major semiconductor manufacturer, oil giant, and World Expo organiser among others through translation agencies, and my private clients include a copywriting firm, accountant office, and art museum. My services include translation from English/Russian to Japanese and from Japanese to English, with the latter accounting for 70% of my workload.

On a side, I have been teaching translation at a universiy in Osaka, Japan since 2021.
