Bio
My name is Morena Calaón, I am an Argentine
professional translator and proofreader of Spanish texts.
I specialize in subtitling, but throughout my
career, I have worked with texts concerning a variety of fields.
I graduated from “Instituto Superior Lenguas
Vivas”, where I received the title of “Technical, Scientific and Literary
Translator”, with an average mark of 8.5, and from Fundación Litterae I
graduated as an International Proofreader of Spanish Texts. I have also
obtained a Certificate in Applied Translation from Chichester College in 2014
(with a distinction mark).
I have completed a number of courses and
assisted a variety of workshops that add value to my degree, all of them are
detailed in my curriculum. At present, I’m studying for a Master’s degree in
audiovisual translation (UCA, Spain).
I have worked as a freelance translator since
2012. I am also a volunteer at Translators Without Borders and member of the
Spanish Modern Languages Society (SELM).
