I am a literary translator with two post-graduate degrees (M.A., DipTrans IoLET) and particularly enjoy jobs where I can use my linguistic and intercultural skills creatively. I translate fiction and non-fiction (e.g. books on Cognitive Behavioural Theory or Hidden Depression) and regularly perform transcreation jobs (high-visibility content, marketing material, etc.). I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL), the VdÜ (Verband deutschsprachiger Übersetzer literarischer und wissenschaftlicher Werke) and the BDÜ (Bundesverband der Dometscher und Übersetzer). Before becoming a professional translator, I worked as a linguist at Münster University (Germany), focusing on comparative grammar and translation studies. One of my academic papers (on translation shifts) is availabe online here.
