I have completed my MA in Translation, Interpreting and Subtitling at the University of Essex where I have been trained on different Translation fields as Financial/Scientific/Political/Touristic/Audiovisual Translation/Machine Translation (CAT tools as SDL Trados, MemoQ, MemSource, Matecat, Smartcat), on project management assignments, subtitling software as Wincaps and on several Interpreting strategies. My MA represents the completion of my educational career focussed on languages and translation services. Currently, I focus entirely on linguistic projects as freelancer linguist (translator, interpreter, subtitler, transcriber) and will develop my knowledge on localisation software for e-learning such as Articulate products (Storyline and Rise), all services that I have been proficiently overseeing in my previous roles.
Apart from the university career, in my last work experience I have been working as Head Of Production in a Localisation company. I was responsible for managing and coordinating my fellow Project Managers/PCs (6 members) in their daily activities during the completion of all language projects with the most diverse scopes. Previously I worked as Transcreation and Localisation PM, and as freelance face-to-face interpreter for the NHS, SLAM (Mental Health), several London Councils in which I reached ca. 600 hours of practical work (English, Italian and Spanish). My language pairs are EN into IT and ES into IT. In my interpreting assignments I also work from IT into EN, IT into ES and from EN<>ES.
