Past and present relevant life experiences:

I have been learning English as a second language since childhood, first at an English bilingual primary school, at an institute later, taking Cambridge First Certificate, and afterwards perfecting my skills during different international experiences. I traveled a lot and I worked in three different countries using English to communicate.

The last oversees work experience was in Germany, where I took part in a scientific research project (at Göttingen Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry) which required me, just as my years at University, to read many scientific papers in English, besides communicating with my colleges exclusively in the same language. Because of that I have the experience in interpreting and translating scientific English.

Before that I worked in the United States of America and in New Zealand, where I had several jobs that included customer service with people from different nationalities. That´s why I understand common slang from different countries.

Besides that, I have relatives in Australia, and because of that I´ve been in that country many times.

Also, during the past three years I got interested in the theory and practice of sports, nutrition and healthy living. That´s why I´ve been reading a lot of literature in those subjects (Anatomy, Physiology, Exercise, etc.), both in Spanish and in English. I started to take courses as well.

I worked at New York University in Buenos Aires during 2014, at the Student Life Department, helping students to adapt to Buenos Aires and taking them to different tours, some of them in charge of me.

Finally, during the last few years I´ve grown interested in reading and listening about inner study, Esoteric-ism and Philosophy. And on purpose I search for English texts and videos to expand my language knowledge horizons.

Datos relevantes de vivencias pasadas y presentes:

He estado aprendiendo Inglés como segundo idioma desde la infancia, primero en una escuela primaria inglesa bilingue, luego en un instituto, rindiendo el First Certificate de Cambridge, y luego perfeccionando el uso del lenguaje durante varias experiencias internacionales. He viajado mucho y he trabajado en tres países distintos en el que el idioma utilizado para comunicarme fue el Inglés.

El último de estos trabajos fue en Alemania, donde trabajé en un proyecto de investigación científica (en el Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry de Göttingen) que requirió, al igual que en mis años de estudiante, mucha lectura de papers científicos en inglés, además de comunicarme con mis colegas exclusivamente en dicho idioma. Por eso es que cuento con experiencia en lo que es interpretación y traducción de lenguaje científico.

Antes de eso trabajé en Estados Unidos y Nueva Zelanda, en varios trabajos que incluían atención al público y contacto con personas de diferentes nacionalidades. Es por eso que conozco mucha jerga de inglés de distintas procedencias.

Además tengo familia en Australia, por lo que he viajado mucho al país.

Por otro lado, en los últimos años me interesé por aprender, desde la teoría y la práctica, más acerca de Ejercicio, Nutrición y Salud. Por lo que he leído mucha bibliografía de temas pertinentes como Anatomía, Fisiología, Entrenamiento, etc., tanto en Español como en Inglés. Además de haber empezado a hacer cursos al respecto.

Trabajé en la Universidad de Nueva York en Bueno Aires durante el 2014, en el Departamento de Vida Estudiantil, ayudando a los estudiantes internacionales a adaptarse a la vida en Buenos Aires y llevándolos a diferentes tours, algunos de los cuales estuvieron a mi cargo.

Por último, en los últimos años me he interesado mucho en leer y escuchar acerca de estudio interior, esoterismo y filosofía. Y a propósito busco, tanto textos como vídeos, en inglés, como para enriquecer aún más el uso de dicho idioma en otros ámbitos.
