My path as a translator began when I enroled in a Portuguese Studies degree and my specialisation was defined by five years of work at an automobile repair shop/insurance agency and a more recent experience in the real estate business. I am zealous in delivering quality, effective translations and I believe that continuing education and involvement in the field is vital.

I am also an experienced tutor, specialising in both Primary Education and English as a Second Language for adults. In 2015, I created "English e-Lessons", a convenient method of online personalized writing and speaking training directed towards professionals and academics, which evolved into "JoanaCSL" (joanacsl.com), where I currently teach English and Portuguese for business purposes and provide language solutions for insurance and real estate businesses.
