I am a professional freelance translator. I offer translation and proofreading services in the following languages and their combinations: Slovak, Slovenian, English and Turkish.

I hold a bachelor university degree in Centraleuropean studies from the Comenius University, which was instructed in English. The study program included courses on the various aspects of the Centraleuropean region such as history, politics, culture etc. but also extensive study of an optional language (in my case it was Slovenian) of the region in question as well as translation process and methods. I also hold an ESOL Cambridge English Language Certificate at C1 level.

During my high school and university studies I spent 6 months studying at the United Kingdom and in Slovenia which helped me to improve my speaking, listening and writing skills.

I have also an advanced language skills in Turkish language which I learned after meeting my husband 8 years ago. So I do not have an academic background when it comes to Turkish but despite this I have a full working proficiency in this language.

Languages have been my passion since I was a little kid. Thats why I always pursued a carrer in this field and as I prefer to work individually working as a freelancer has been the best decision I have made.

I started to work as a freelance translator in 2017 and have had 4-year translation experience so far. My fields of expertise include: law, marketing, tourism and geography, technology, technical texts (especially manuals and patents) and web content. 

I run my business on a business licence and can therefore provide you with an invoice. 

As for my personal strenghts I am open-mined, easy going, willing to learn new things and accept new challenges. I strive for continuous personal development.

When it comes to work I am disciplined, hard-working, responsible and detail-oriented. I have good organisation and project management skills and can keep the agreed deadlines.
