I am a literary and commercial translator working from Norwegian (both Bokmål and Nynorsk) into English. I have a BA in French and Norwegian and an MA in Translation Theory and Practice, both from UCL. In 2018 I won the Stephen Spender Prize for Poetry in Translation, for my translation of Stein Mehren's poem "På fjorden" ("On the fjord"). I took part in the National Centre for Writing's Emerging Translator Mentorship 2020-21, where I was mentored by Kari Dickson over the course of 9 months. I specialise in literary translation, and when it comes to commercial work, I specialise in academic/University texts, owing to 3 years of experience working in a University. I have done commercial translation work for a range of different clients across various industries, including business, higher education, transport, and government. I offer high quality and efficient translation from Norwegian (Bokmål and Nynorsk) to English, and proofreading of English texts translated from Norwegian, Danish or Swedish.
