Native Italian speaker with a Foreign Language High School Diploma, I believe in lifelong learning and I've been spending the last 19 years in improving my language skills as well as becoming familiar with different work positions.
I've been translating a good number of documents for the company I've been working for since 2010 as a Technical-Regulatory Dept. secretary. My job is involved with professional beauty: I regularly translate Powerpoint presentations of products, active principles, skin-concerned topics, technical sheets, articles for trade magazines, catalogues. Here, I've been translating mainly from Italian to English but I've done many jobs from English to Italian or to Italian from French and vice versa as well.
Before working for this company, I've been in the tourism industry for around 8 years as an operations manager, taking care of adults and students groups travelling to Italy from UK, Canada, USA, Belgium, Switzerland and Sweden. I had the responsibility of ensuring their stay to be perfect avoiding any problem to arise!
Between these 2 jobs, I had a parenthesis of 2 years in an import-export company where my role was to manage all orders placed to foreign suppliers located worldwide. Here too, I've translated catalogues, contracts and advertising material. I've also made some free-lance translations for a company based in Germany, from English to Italian.
Besides working, I kept on studying for myself and I was granted a FCE with grade A in 2010 . In March 2018, I sat for Cambridge English Proficiency C2, achieving level C1 with an overall score of 199/230...I'll sit again for it to finally achieve C2.
I really love translating and I do not wish to set limits to the choice of topics, even though I prefer being fair and say I can assure quality for jobs related to my work experiences. In the course of time, I found out I also have a leaning for organization and gathering information (part of my current job is also concerned with this) so I'll be glad if you'd contact me in case you need someone to follow a project in details without losing the general view.
