Born in The Netherlands to a bi-lingual family, I grew up speaking Dutch and Frisian natively. I began my studies in mechanical engineering and mechatronics in both The Netherlands and Portugal, and later studied philosophy at the University of Groningen In The Netherlands and did part of my masters degree at the UNAM in Mexico. For the last decade I have been living and working as an English teacher in the state of Oaxaca (Mexico). In my spare time I have been active as an artist, a writer, a poet and a translator.
